A fire in Philadelphia has killed 13 people

The American media reported the terrible fire on Wednesday, local time, but the cause of the fire has not been reported yet.
The Philadelphia Fire Department said the fire broke out at 6:40 a.m. local time on the third floor of an apartment in Philadelphia, and firefighters were able to put it out after 50 minutes.
The Philadelphia Fire Department confirmed that 13 people were killed in the blaze, including seven children, and that at least two others were injured.
Details of the fire were not immediately available, but it was reported that the apartment belonged to the Philadelphia Department of Housing, and police said the fire extinguishing system did not work at the time of the fire.
“This fire is undoubtedly one of the saddest days in the history of our city,” Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenny said after the incident.
He added: “The loss of a large number of people in this way is sad and devastating. It is very sad that so many children are being sacrificed.
