The construction of historical and religious works related to the Ashura event requires a large budget, which is natural, this is not the responsibility of the private sector, and the radio and television and government organizations must invest in the construction of such works.

However, since the victory of the Islamic Revolution until today, there have been admirable films and series that have attracted general and special viewers. The share of cinema is less compared to television, but in any case, appreciable works have been made in cinema. The movies “Evening of the Event”, “Evening of the 10th Day” and “Resurrection” are successful examples centered on Ashura, and we have taken a look at the most important films made in this field and the films that have been influenced by this great event.

Hossein Ibn Nimir, the commander of the highwaymen, transfers Qays to Ibn Ziyad prison in Kufa. At the suggestion of his adviser, Ibn Ziyad, Khalid asks Qays to give a speech in the mosque and falsely tell the people that the Imam intends to pledge allegiance to Yazid. Qays accepts, but on the promised day, he gives a speech against Yazid. Ibn Ziyad, who got angry even after suppressing the people, threw Qays down from the top of the Ark tower and martyred him.

This film was made in difficult and exhausting conditions and with limited facilities. At first, this film was supposed to be made as a 70-minute television work, which eventually became a movie. Taking into account the time conditions of the first years of the revolution, in a situation where the production and screening in Iranian cinema is still undecided, Saleh decides to establish a kind of transformation in the production process of the early years of the revolution by making this film in Iranian cinema, which of course succeeded in this way. And every time it is replayed on TV, it has many viewers.
