But some time ago, a news was published and announced that: “The holding of the 28th International Children’s and Adolescent Theater Festival has faced a serious challenge and uncertainty due to the non-fulfillment of the obligations of the Hamadan Governorate.
Although, since March of last year, consultation and holding of face-to-face and non-face-to-face meetings have been started to hold the 28th International Children and Youth Theater Festival in Hamedan, but due to the non-cooperation of the Governor of Hamedan, the call for the festival has not been published yet.
In this connection, Kazem Nazari, Director General of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance explained: Although we reached a 50% participation agreement for the festival in a face-to-face meeting with the governor of Hamedan, but during this time, no cooperation and support from the governor has been observed. .
He added: Although the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance tried hard to keep this important and long-standing festival in the old province of Hamedan, and to show his goodwill, he accepted all the credit of holding this event last year, again, the proper cooperation of The host side did not act, which led us to the conclusion that Hamedan governorate has no desire to hold this festival in that historical and cultural city.
After the announcement of this news, an interview was published by the governor of Hamadan, in which he said: “The discussions on the funding of festivals are clearly related to the Ministry of Guidance, and they do not assign specific credit to us regarding the mission of the institutions.
Regarding the children’s theater festival, they say that you should also give credit and we can advance the work with the participation of the private sector, but it is not like it is a duty, and apparently it has been done.
Regarding this year’s festival, we announced that we accept the commitment to provide food and accommodation and nothing else. Contrary to what some people think, we did not object to holding the festival, but it seems that there are some problems that they want to blame on us.
We are supposed to have a meeting with the Minister of Education and the issues will be resolved, and these issues are at a low level.”
All these events finally caused this festival to be moved to Yazd after many years of activity in Hamedan. The festival, which was originally known as Hamedan Children’s Theater Festival, will hold its 28th edition in Yazd.
Kazem Nazari, Director General of Performing Arts, emphasizing the need to hold the children’s and youth theater festival as magnificently as possible at the specified time, announced the examination of the upcoming options for hosting this festival, so that the honorable artists of the children’s and youth theater field can think about the production of the show with ease and peace. To be the future builders of Iran for the children and let families and children and teenagers benefit from these works as the main audience of this event.
Also, Amir Mashadi Abbas, the secretary of the 28th International Children’s and Youth Theater Festival, considered the sharp decrease in the support of Hamedan province officials for this event last year as the reason for the dissatisfaction of many artists who demanded to move the festival from Hamedan.
Finally, with the announcement of the General Department of Performing Arts of Yazd Province, it hosted the 28th International Children and Youth Theater Festival.
Due to the need for quick information and planning for the implementation of this artistic event as best as possible, and with the follow-ups and consultations of the Vice-Chancellor of Artistic Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the General Directorate of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Guidance and based on the initial understanding with the governor of Yazd, the festival The province was moved.
