A meeting was held to transfer the experience of the country’s tourism farms

According to the Aria Heritage Report, according to the press office of the Tehran Tourism and Handicrafts Exhibition, today, Tuesday, February 3, 2015, on the last day of the exhibition, the farmers shared their experiences in this field.

“Agricultural tourism or Agritourist is a combination of the two words Agriculture and Tourism and is a new face of tourism and part of rural tourism,” said Majid Zaman, founder and director of Tosca Tourism Farm. In general, any activity that takes place on a farm or pasture and allows the general public, for leisure or educational purposes, to see and enjoy and experience rural activities such as agriculture, animal husbandry, historical and cultural activities, harvesting “Hand-picking, natural activities and attractions refer to the farm, called agricultural tourism.”

“Agricultural tourism creates added value in the field of agriculture by relying on the capacities of the tourism industry,” he added. “Preventing the change of use of agricultural lands, creating a surplus income for farmers, promoting a healthy lifestyle along with producing a healthy product, agricultural education and strengthening the spirit of teamwork and partnership are among its most important goals.”

In this meeting, which will be the prelude to creating a national network of farms in the country, due to the diversity of tourism farms, four representatives were selected from among the farmers, each of whom represents a specific style in farming. Also, one of the startups active in this field shared his experiences in this meeting.
