What is the difference between an underwriting and an initial public offering?

When a stock is offered in the stock market, the price of that stock is determined using the valuation and it is offered in one of the stock exchange or over-the-counter markets. The positive point in the initial public offering of a symbol in the capital market is the ability to trade that share from the day after its offering in the market.

But the underwritings are with a nominal price of 100 Tomans and after the completion of the process, the steps related to the registration of the company must be followed. This stage may take days or months and then be traded.
