According to the Mehr News Agency, citing the public relations of Shakbeh Documentary, the documentary film “Love of Candlesticks” containing the life of Prime Minister Hossein Fatemi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the government of Mohammad Mossadegh, narrated by Milad Mohammadi, will be broadcast on the documentary network on Friday, November 19 at 20:00.
Milad Mohammadi, the author and director of this documentary, said: Hossein Fatemi was a journalist and a young political activist, and at one time he was the parliamentary deputy of the prime minister and the minister of foreign affairs in the government of Mohammad Mossadegh. He was one of the main founders of the National Front and also the initiator of the nationalization law of the oil industry. Hossein Fatemi lived a secret life for a while after the August 28 coup under the military governor. The documentary “The Love of Candlesticks” deals with periods of his life and is a review of contemporary history.
He added: After the coup d’état on August 28, 1332, Dr. Fatemi lived a secret life for 6 months, these events happened when Dr. Mossadegh surrendered to the military governor and many ministers were arrested. In the meantime, those who were members of the Tudeh party escaped, but someone of the level of the foreign minister, who is also known internationally, has such conditions and has to turn to a secret life. Finally, Fatemi was arrested and executed on November 19, 1333.
This documentary directed by Milad Mohammadi and produced by Mahmoud Arbabi was produced by the Center for the Development of Documentary and Experimental Cinema and will be broadcast tonight at 20:00 on the anniversary of Dr. Fatemi’s execution on Documentary Network.
