A professional association of direct catering units is formed in Kurdistan

According to the report of Aria Heritage, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kurdistan, Arman Vatandoost said on Sunday, May 15, 1401, in a meeting attended by the managers of tourism complexes and intermediate hospitality units in the province: “In order to organize and systematize the activities of these units, a professional association of catering units will be formed in the province.”
“Currently, there are 128 licensed tourism complexes, an intermediate catering unit and a traditional canteen in the province,” said Kurdistan’s Deputy Minister of Tourism and Investment.
“The members of this association include five members of the board of directors and an inspector, who are elected through elections among the directors of the units,” he added.
“With the follow-up, three professional associations have been formed, including the Association of Hoteliers, Ecotourism Accommodations and Iran Tourism Guides, as well as two trade unions, including travel and tourism services offices, and Iran Tourism Guides in the province’s tourism sector,” Watandoost said.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism and Investment of Kurdistan reminded: “These associations, as powerful arms of the Deputy Minister of Tourism, have a significant role in advancing the goals of the General Directorate. We hope to see appropriate services to travelers and tourists in the province by organizing related activities.”
