A report of the gathering for Cinema Day

Kamal Tabrizi and the Ambassador of Japan emphasized on the expansion of cultural and artistic relations between the two countries in a ceremony that coincided with the celebration of the National Cinema Day.
Charso Press: According to the received report, the National Cinema Day ceremony was held yesterday, Tuesday 21st of Shahrivar month, with the presence of a number of artists and in cooperation with the international festival of the “Photo 5” award, Lange Dian Gallery, and Dedenagar Collection at the artists’ house.
This program started from the house-museum of “Iran Night Tent” under the management of Setera Eskandari with a performance by Siavash Sattari – actor and puppeteer – with the theme of the cultural events of the Silk Road, followed by Siamak Dari, an actor and director of an environmental performance theater based on The nostalgia of cinema with the approach of lasting dialogues had a history of Iranian cinema.
In another part, Star Eskandari congratulated National Cinema Day and said: We all miss the good days of cinema. Cinema is always influenced by the tradition of each country and it is the same in our country. I hope that the problems of the cinema will be resolved and the cinema will return to its peak.
Then Mehdi Shadizadeh, the secretary of the “Photo 5” International Award Festival, said: “This period of the festival, we will focus on the impact of Japanese cinema on Iranian cinema, and we intend to conduct special reviews.” In the next courses, we will discuss the impact of Italian and French cinema on the new wave of Iranian cinema, and we hope that the conditions of cinema will improve and we will witness the further growth and development of this art in our country.
In the following words, the Japanese ambassador said: I am very grateful to the organizers of this festival, who during this period addressed the impact of Yasujiro Ozu’s cinema on the new wave of Iranian cinema. This director is like a treasure that impresses everyone and expresses most of the normal life of the family. Iranian films are very valuable to Japanese people and these films are always shown in Japan. Interactions between the two countries are always established and we hope it will continue.
Then, Kamal Tabrizi, who was present at the stage and congratulated the National Cinema Day, said: “I hope that Iranian cinema will return to the era of prosperity after coming out of the deplorable conditions.” Cultural relations between Iran and Japan go back centuries and in recent years there has been more mutual understanding, especially between the cinematographers of both countries. Many works that are the joint product of Iran and Japan have been prepared and produced. The art of cinema plays a key role in today’s era and these two countries have taken several measures to prevent the destruction of art and culture. We hope these relations will increase and the activities will expand.
Later, producer and actor Alireza Shoja Nouri told about his memories of Kamal Tabrizi’s “Carpet of Wind” and Abbas Kiarostami’s “Panj” and the production of joint films between Iran and other countries.
