A series of meetings “What Happened to Iranian Cinema” will be held

According to Fars news agency, the 8-part documentary series “What Happened to Iran’s Cinema”, the new product of Sourah Documentary Center, directed and produced by Shahram Mirab Aghdam, is ready to be shown after 8 years of interviews with prominent figures in the history of Iranian cinema.
At the same time, a series of specialized meetings titled “What Happened to Iranian Cinema” hosted by Amir Qadri and organized by the Sourah Cinema Organization will be held with the aim of analyzing the way Iranian cinema was formed and managed after the revolution. The first week of this event, from October 3rd to 6th, will be held at the Azadi Cinema Campus, and every night with the screening of an episode of this documentary, a panel discussion will be held with the presence of prominent veteran cinematographers and directors of the history of Iranian cinema.
This documentary collection, which was made during the years 1393 to 1402; With a brief overview of how cinema entered Iran, it examines the state of cinema and film screening from before the revolution to 1376 in different management periods.
More than 45 important and famous cinematographers of Iranian cinema, including Alireza Davoudenjad, Mohammad Metuslani, Siros Alvand, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, Omid Rouhani, Alireza Raisian, Bijan Mokhsian, Masoud Jafari Jozani, Zindiad Khosro Sinaii, Dariush Mehrjoui, Masoud Kimiaei, Puran Derakhshandeh, the late Kiyomarth Pourahmad, Ali Abbasi, Saeed Rad, Mohammad Ali Najafi, Faramarz Harukan, Mahdi Masoud Shahi, Ahmed Talebinejad, Rasul Sadr Aamili, Zindiad Farajollah Selahshor, Masoud Farasti, Manouchehr Mohammadi, Behrouz Afkhami, Zindiad Kambozia Pertovi, Kianoosh Ayari, Fakhreddin Anwar, Seyed Mohammad Beheshti.
