A slight decrease in the interbank interest rate

According to Iran Economist, in the latest published information about the interbank interest rate ending June 3 of this year, the central bank announced the interbank interest rate at 23.75 percent.

This rate has been reduced by one hundred percent this week, the interbank interest rate was set at 23.76 percent in the week ending May 27.

The increase in bank overdrafts in the past months has led to an increase in interbank interest rates to control these withdrawals.

In the new management period, the central bank has sought to reduce bank overdrafts to curb inflation. The increase of the interest rate corridor to 17-24% is analyzed in the same direction.
