The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance confirmed that the theater budget is lower compared to the cinema, and announced that a special budget will be considered for performing arts in the future.

He reminded: the budget of the Vice-Chancellor of Art has grown significantly this year. Esmaili mentioned the per capita allocation of 1 billion tomans for provincial theater associations as another measure of the Ministry of Guidance to improve the theater budget and said: God willing, the allocation of 50% of this per capita will happen next week.
He stated that I stressed that the music, theater and visual arts table in Shahid Avini’s residence should be at the disposal of the art deputy, and added: Previously, around 10 million Tomans were allocated to theater associations all over the country, while this year this number is 1 billion tomans, which shows the practical support of the field of drama and theater in the provinces.
Esmaili expressed his hope: God willing, with the cooperation of the artistic deputy and the general director of performing arts, we will try to eliminate the gap between the budget of theater and cinema.
