In your opinion, as a broadcast director, what is the reason for the reception of the movie “Orange Forest”?
In the 41st Fajr Festival, the movie “Orange Forest” was nominated in 3 categories: Best Actress, Best Actor, and Best First Film, and at the same time, it received good feedback from critics and cinematographers.
The combination of these events together, from the very beginning of the festival, promised that due to the potential and good feeling of the film, it can be successful in the screening and the audience will leave the cinema hall satisfied. According to these points, “Orange Forest” has had close to 300 million opening sales since the first day of its release and brought 5 thousand audience with it. Since the first day of sales, we have experienced an upward trend in the number of audiences for this film, which we hope will continue with the advertising processes we have in mind for “Orange Forest” and especially the audiences themselves, who are the best promoters of the works, this good feeling and mood that They want to convey what they have learned from the film to others and continue to witness a good upward trend for this social film.
Do you think that the current sales of comedy films provide an opportunity for social films to be seen?
“The Orange Forest” was released at a time when the cinema box office is dominated by comedies and children’s works; Of course, this variety of genres compared to the works in the cinema can be the winning card of this film and considering the current screening environment, the special audience of this film can be activated. I hope that moviegoers will not leave us alone in supporting this genre with the screenings that will be added to this movie in the future, so that we can witness a better trend in the sale of this movie.
What measures do you have in mind in the promotion and distribution of this movie?
All our efforts for the release of “Orange Forest” is to activate every capacity that helps this film to be seen more. For example, according to the platform in which the film is narrated, university spaces can be added to our public screening process as a helping arm, and for this reason, we will soon have university screenings, which in public screening will make the audience know more about be filmed and set a good path.
At present, what characteristics should social films have so that they can bring the audience with them in the cinemas during the screening process?
Maybe nowadays there is a theory in the general atmosphere of cinema that only comedy movies sell; But I completely disagree with this. Because we also have audiences who follow movies that deal more with social concerns. For example, during this time we released the movie “Leather Coat”, which was a successful sale, and then we have the movie “Orange Forest”, which is a romantic drama. During the time that the movie has been released, I have witnessed the audience’s companionship with the movie by attending the cinemas, and I am sure that this movie will be seen more and better with the promotion of the audience.
