A unilateral European request for Iran to return to its obligations! Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

Natalie Tolstoi, head of the political section of the EU Delegation to the United Nations, did not mention the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal and violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, according to the Mehr news agency, citing the UN website. Continuing Europe’s inaction on its commitments, Brussels has stated that it wants Iran to return to full compliance with its obligations under the agreement.

The head of the political section of the EU Delegation to the United Nations continued in this regard: We express our deep concern about Iran’s nuclear program and the continuation of actions contrary to the UN Security Council!

“We call on Iran to cancel all activities that are contrary to the IAEA Board and return to full implementation without delay,” Natalie Tolstoy said, without acknowledging the International Atomic Energy Agency’s acknowledgment of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. We also ask Tehran to cooperate with the Agency to resolve all remaining issues without delay and preconditions!

According to the Mehr news agency, Iran has recently agreed to start talks aimed at lifting illegal and inhumane sanctions on December 8 in Vienna, while emphasizing that the purpose of the talks is not just to talk; Rather, it is a matter of reaching a tangible agreement and respecting mutual interests.

Ali Bagheri, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, had previously written on his personal Twitter page: “In a telephone conversation with Mr. Enrique Mo, the start of negotiations aimed at lifting illegal and inhumane sanctions was agreed in Vienna on December 29th.

Tehran emphasizes that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

In addition, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors have visited Iran’s nuclear facilities several times but have never found any evidence that the country’s peaceful nuclear energy program is deviating from military purposes.

In addition, Iran reached an agreement with the so-called P5 + 1 countries in 2015 to resolve tensions over its nuclear program; However, despite the International Atomic Energy Agency’s acknowledgment of Iran’s adherence to all of its obligations, the US government unilaterally withdrew from the agreement in May 2016.

So far, six rounds of talks have been held in Vienna between the United States and other parties to the Security Council other than Iran to facilitate the return of the United States to the Security Council. The parties say tangible progress has been made in the talks, but with Western sabotage, some differences remain.
