Aban Teter’s annual report; Being among the top 4 exchanges in Iran with 800,000 users
“Aban Tether” digital currency exchange unveiled its 2022 report this week during a ceremony. Reaching 800,000 users, being among the top 4 exchanges in Iran in terms of volume of transactions and offering a dedicated wallet in the near future were among the issues that the managers of this group mentioned during the annual report of Aban Teter.
Farhad Fallah, deputy head of Aban Teter, at the unveiling ceremony of the exchange’s annual report, referring to the start of Aban Teter’s activity in 2018, said:
At that time, the cost of entering the cryptocurrency field was very high for Iranians, and the transaction fee for users was 25%.
According to Fallah, 2022 was the year of the cold winter in the crypto world; However, Aban Tether managed to grow in the same year and is now among the top 4 exchanges in the country. Deputy Aban Teter also stated that there is no transparency of the market size in the country’s cryptocurrency field.
compensation for the loss of users during the collapse of the “Gala” project
In his presentation, the deputy of Aban Teter talked about the insurance fund of this exchange for its users and said that the resources of this fund are provided by the surplus profit of the exchange.
In this regard, he added:
Last year, when the “Gala” cryptocurrency fell, we paid the equivalent of $350,000 of our users’ Gala assets from this fund; While few exchanges took the responsibility of compensating the losses of its users.
Fallah says that Aban Tether guarantees the security of its users; This exchange supports more than 300 cryptocurrencies, and Tether and Shiba Ino cryptocurrencies account for the largest volume of transactions in this exchange.
Launching a dedicated wallet in the near future
Omid Moulai, the director of Aban Tether’s blockchain department, said at the event that the exchange uses the protected “z-address” model to keep Tether safe. He said that using the Lightning network, the cost of transferring Bitcoin in this exchange was $1; While the Bitcoin main network has sometimes had a fee of $100.
Blockchain manager Aban Tether also added that in 2023, they plan to provide users with the exclusive “Aban Wallet” wallet with conditions similar to Trust Wallet.
Aban Teter salaries are among the highest
Parisa Hosseinzadeh, human resources manager of Aban Teter, said that the company’s current team consists of 120 people. According to Hosseinzadeh, the average salary paid by Aban Teter to its employees is one of the highest among Tehran-level companies.
He stated:
The average age of our colleagues is 28 years. Our oldest colleague is also 37 years old.
According to human resources manager Aban Teter, this exchange has remote employees in different cities of the world, including London to Saveh.
400 billion tomans daily trading volume
Deputy Aban Teter said in the final part of this ceremony:
The volume of exchange transactions in Iran is usually exaggerated and the exact number is not announced; Therefore, we cannot announce either. The volume of Abantether transactions is approximately 400 to 500 billion tomans per day, but I cannot say more precisely. However, in terms of volume of transactions, we are among the 4 largest exchanges in the country.
He added:
We implemented a platform in the company so that Iranian users can buy and sell shares of foreign (non-American) companies in Abanteter with cryptocurrency, but the stock exchange organization did not allow this.
In the end, he announced that Aban Teter currently has about 800,000 users and 300,000 people are active every month.
