According to Tejarat News, the managing director of Tehran’s vehicle technical inspection headquarters said: In order to facilitate the provision of services to citizens, it is now possible to accept cars without license plates.
Applicants can schedule an appointment by referring to the SIMFA system in all technical examination centers in Tehran.
Shadi Maliki stated that according to the law, one of the documents required to change the license plate is the presentation of a valid technical inspection certificate. Since before, the acceptance of auctioned cars in the SIMFA system due to the lack of a license plate was only accepted at the technical inspection center of Al-Ghadir according to a The specific procedure was carried out, the owners of these cars had to go to this center after traveling long distances, which fortunately, with the help of the Ministry of Interior, this possibility has also been provided in other technical inspection centers in Tehran.
He added: It should be noted that the technical inspection certificate issued for cars without license plates is valid for 15 days and is issued only to obtain license plates, and these cars must return for technical inspection after installing the license plates.
Referring to the online acceptance of 10 technical inspection centers in Tehran, Maliki stated: Acceptance in the technical inspection centers of Beyhaqi, Niayesh, Shahid Abshanasan, Siraj, Damavand and Shahid Chamran and four mobile units of Nobanyad, Gilan, Hengama (number 4) and When (number 8) is done only by making an appointment in advance through online appointment in the “Tehran Man” system; Therefore, citizens are requested to visit the centers a few days before the expiration of the validity of the technical inspection certificate of their car.
He continued: Considering that the admission in 10 centers is done online only, it may not be possible to make an appointment in some centers on the same day, and one or two days later you will be given an appointment. Therefore, it is emphasized not to postpone the visit to the centers until the last day of validity of the technical examination certificate.
Maliki emphasized: SMS will be sent to the citizens who visited the centers of Tehran last year and whose contact information is available in the technical examination headquarters 10 days before the validity of the technical examination certificate expires.
