According to IRNA, due to the request of the provinces to cancel the first stage of the adult kata team selection competitions for men and women to participate in the Asian Karate Championship, this competition was canceled and postponed to another time.
The first stage of the adult team kata selection competitions was to be held simultaneously with the Iranian Karate League competitions (May 7) in Kermanshah province.
The new date for the men’s and women’s adult team kata qualifiers will be announced later.
Iranian karate has a busy year ahead and it has to play in three important events including the Asian Games, Islamic countries and the Asian Championship, of course, team kata will participate in the Asian Championship.
