In an interview with Mehr reporter, Farhad Nazari Afshar said about the meeting of the technical committee and the people who were proposed to lead the national team: In the first meeting of the technical committee, the issue of hiring an Iranian coach was not discussed at all, so that all the members of the technical committee believed in leading the national team. It should be entrusted to a foreign head coach so that he can fix the conditions of Iranian volleyball. In the second meeting, 5 to 6 Iranian options were proposed to lead the national team. Several foreign coaches who were among the options were also eliminated. In fact, the meeting went to the point where we had to choose an Iranian option for the national team!
Testing the tested is a mistake

Of course, I am not against the Iranian coach, but I believe that in this current volleyball situation, the Iranian coach cannot do anything. Among the members of the assembly, only 5 people emphasized the recruitment of a foreign coach, some of them changed their opinion with the opinions of other members, and the rest agreed with the presence of an Iranian coach at the head of the work.
My final opinion is to recruit a foreign coach
Nazari Afshar stated: In the first and second session, I constantly emphasized the recruitment of foreign coaches. I believe that if a foreign coach is to be recruited, they should sign a contract with him for one year, after he manages to lead the team to the Olympics, the contract should be signed with that coach again. In the meeting, it was mentioned that foreign coaches do not have much time for the national team and he can work with the national team for one month. Some coaches who wanted to work with the Iranian national team even stated that they were ready to cancel the contract and pay a fine to the relevant federation.
Foreign and Iranian coaches have the same status to participate in the national team
He emphasized: Finally, if a foreign coach is to be recruited for Iranian volleyball, we have to lose a series of things. If the Iranian team can make it to the Olympics and get back on track, then we can use Iranian capabilities. After the Paris Olympics, we have four years, and little by little we can use Saeed Marouf, Peyman Akbari, Rahman Mohammadi Rad and others. It was mentioned in the meeting that if a foreign coach comes to the national team, he has almost a month, if the Iranian coach has the same conditions. All of them have a team and have the same status as a foreign coach.
Recruiting an Iranian coach in the current situation is not for Salah in volleyball
Nazari Afshar stated: When time is short, we need temporary motivation. Anyway, Iranian volleyball needs discipline and planning, and this issue is realized under the shadow of a foreign coach. After the Olympics, when we have a lot of time, an Iranian coach can come to work, but in this situation, it is not good for volleyball.
Saeed Marouf should not accept the coaching offer
The former national team player of the national volleyball team said about the name of Saeed Maarouf among the options for the head coach of the national team: it is definitely a waste of capital. I was a friend and clubmate with Saeed for many years, but I don’t think it is right for him to accept the offer of being the head coach of the national team. Of course, if he is going to be with the national team as a coach, the situation will be different.
No manager is more connected to the World Federation than the referee
