He pointed out that due to inflation in the last four years, dates have had the lowest price increase, adding: “If dates are offered at unusual prices, the market regulation headquarters and monitoring devices should enter.”
The head of the National Association of Dates of Iran said about the consumption of the holy month of Ramadan: of the total dates produced in the country, about 30% is exported and 70% goes to domestic consumption, of which 40% of the total consumption is related to the holy month of Ramadan.
He added: “In 1399, we exported about 270 thousand tons worth 300 million dollars, and our main export focus is European countries.”
According to market data, the price per kilogram of Mazafati dates is between 35 and 40 thousand Tomans, Khasooi dates between 65 to 90 thousand Tomans, Pyaram dates between 120 to 150 thousand Tomans and Zahedi dates between 38 and 50 thousand Tomans.
