Allocation of a new credit line of 500 million dollars for knowledge-based companies


According to the Fars news agency, citing the public relations of the Central Bank, Mohammad Reza Farzin, in the meeting and meeting of the vice president for science and technology and a group of leading organizations and companies in the field of knowledge-based activities, emphasized the all-round support of the banking system to these effective companies. In order to solve the foreign exchange problems of knowledge-based companies and in line with their practical support, a credit line of 500 million dollars is allocated for this sector this year.

Referring to the formation of the committee for supply and allocation of currency in the central bank with the presence of the ministries of mining and trade, health and medical education, and agricultural jihad, the Governor General of the Central Bank said: In this committee, the annual foreign exchange needs of different sectors based on the sources, determination and quota of each of Sections are specified for credit opening.

He stated: Considering the necessity of paying serious attention to knowledge-based companies and in order to accelerate the solution of the foreign exchange needs of the sector’s activists, this year apart from the quota of this sector, the Central Bank will allocate a new credit line of 500 million dollars to it.

Farzin continued to emphasize: the conditions for the allocation of this line of credit will be determined with the cooperation of the Presidential Practical and Technology Vice-President and the Ministry of Security. Of course, in the same direction, the representatives of these companies can participate and actively participate in the currency supply and allocation committee.

The Governor General of the Central Bank said: Considering the upcoming openings in the field of foreign exchange, the special credit line for knowledge-based companies will be able to increase in the coming years.

According to Farzin, in order to meet the need of knowledge-based companies to participate in export exhibitions for the purpose of marketing, these companies can also obtain the currency they need in this field from the service needs header of the relevant system.

In this meeting, considering the problems of the active companies in the field of knowledge-based companies to provide liquidity and working capital, as well as the need to accelerate the timely provision of liquidity for these companies, the Governor General of the Central Bank ordered a committee to develop regulations for Rial facilities required by knowledge-based companies with the participation of The credit department of the central bank and the science and technology vice president should be formed.

While emphasizing the serious support of the banking network to knowledge-based companies active in the field of banking communications, the Governor General of the Central Bank also said: “The development of banking relations with neighboring countries is one of the main priorities of the Central Bank, and in this regard, the services of domestic knowledge-based companies will definitely be used.”

Farzin added: Right now, Iran’s Shatab card network is connecting with Russia’s Mir, and establishing this connection with China and Turkey is also on the agenda.

In another part of his speech, the Governor General of the Central Bank pointed to the complaints of some knowledge-based companies about the long process of providing and allocating foreign currency and the presence of some violations in the country’s exchange network and emphasized: Dealing with violations is the inherent duty of the governing institutions and I request all the activists of this sector. If any violation is observed in the exchange network, reflect the examples with the central bank. Certainly, the central bank will deal decisively with the violators and the license of the violator exchanges that demand foreign exchange from the foreign exchange applicants will be revoked.

Farzin named holding joint meetings with different production departments in order to solve their problems as one of his work priorities and said: In this regard, several meetings have been held with pharmaceutical industry activists, which have had good results.

In the continuation of this meeting, the scientific and technological deputy of the president also presented a report on the capacity of knowledge-based companies and said: Currently, 8600 knowledge-based companies are active in the country, and the sales value of these companies’ products is over 400,000 billion tomans annually. These companies have a maximum of 500 million dollars in foreign exchange, nearly 1 billion dollars, and they save more than 5 billion dollars for the country every year.

Dehghan stated: Knowledge-based companies have a very good capacity in helping the banking network and improving payment systems and banking communications, and if the banking network needs it, there is a possibility of developing cooperation with the central bank in this field.

In this meeting, the representatives of knowledge-based companies also expressed their issues and problems in the field of currency supply and liquidity, such as the time-consuming nature of currency supply, the priority of knowledge-based companies in receiving Rial facilities, the violation of some exchanges in the field of receiving under-table and the necessity of facilitating the supply The timely need for currency was one of the topics raised in this meeting.
