Allocation of credit for the first phase of the Soltanieh Dome Citadel Study Plan

According to Aria Heritage report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Zanjan province, Seyed Saeed Safavi said at noon today, January 21: a meeting attended by the representatives of the people of Abhar Khorramdara and Soltanieh in the Islamic Council, deputies and experts of the General Directorate with the Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Heritage Culture and tourism was held to allocate the implementation credit and start the Soltanieh dome study project.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added: The amount of 1000 billion Rials was approved for the entire project of the Soltanieh Dome World Heritage Site, of which 20 billion Rials were approved by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts for the start of the first phase, for paving the roads around the dome, organizing the area and the tower and ramparts. It was announced for the first year.
He said: The Soltanieh dome is the tomb of Al-Jaito, which was built between 1303 and 1313 AD by the order of the king in the city of Soltanieh (Ilkhanian capital), which today is one of the important works of Iranian and Islamic architecture.
Soltanieh Dome has been registered as the 7th world monument of Iran in the UNESCO list. This building is the third largest dome in the world after Santa Maria del Fiore Church in Italy and Hagia Sophia Mosque in Turkey.
