America: mutual return to JCPOA will strengthen regional stability – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Al Jazeera, the US State Department said that mutual return to the Iran nuclear deal, known as JCPOA, will strengthen regional stability.
The US State Department also claimed: Returning to the nuclear agreement will not solve all problems, but its acquisition of nuclear weapons will worsen the problems.
In response to Iran’s proposals regarding the EU plan, the US State Department said: Iran’s response to US statements will not lead to reaching an agreement.
At the same time, Vedant Patel, the senior deputy spokesperson of the US Department of State, claimed in a press conference that “there are still gaps” in the negotiations to lift the sanctions.
At the press conference, Patel confirmed the nature of EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell’s comments that “the whole (JCPOA) process is in jeopardy.”
Regarding the sanctions lifting negotiations, he said: I emphasize once again what the (US) government announced last weekend; Iran’s response to what was supposed to be Burrell’s “final text” for revitalizing the JCPOA has not put us in a position to finalize the agreement.
Patel added: We have repeatedly said that the gaps still remain and Iran’s response clearly shows that these gaps still remain.
On Monday, Burrell downplayed the chances of revitalizing the Iran nuclear deal, while ignoring the violation of the JCPOA by the United States and taking a position aligned with Washington towards this breach, and claimed: “Today, I have less confidence in the convergence of the negotiation process.”
