American military official’s acknowledgment of Iran’s air superiority in the region

According to IRNA’s report from “Washington Post”, Alexos Greenkevich, who took over the responsibility of commanding the air force of the CENTCOM command center (US Central Command in the Middle East and North Africa) on Thursday, told reporters in the UAE: American fighters are still superior in the skies of the Middle East. But Iran has adapted its tactics by relying on its drones and has made significant progress.

“If an adversary can do what they want and we can’t stop it, they’ve achieved local air superiority,” Grinkovich said.

He also said that neutralizing the threat of Iranian drones and restoring complete air superiority in the Middle East is one of his important goals as the new commander of the US Air Force in the region.

American officials and experts have stated that Iran’s drones are among the most advanced drones in the world and have a great impact in Yemen, Iraq and Syria.

In another part of his statement, this American commander expressed concern about the possible attacks of resistance forces on American positions in the region.

He also expressed concern about the influence of Russia and China in the Middle East as two economic and military superpowers and said that America is now focused on countering the influence of these two countries in the Middle East in the region.
