Amir Abdollahian explained: The agenda of the meeting of the leaders of the Astana trend in Tehran

According to the reporter of Fars news agency’s foreign policy group, Hossein Amirabdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a conversation on the eve of the 7th meeting of the leaders of the Astana process in Tehran, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Tuesday), July 28, with the presence of the presidents of Turkey and Russia and hosted by the Ayatollah. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi said: The meeting will be held in a situation where we can establish the important goal of the Astana format, which was to reduce tension in the conflict areas in Syria.
He added: “During my recent trip to Ankara and Damascus, I was the bearer of the president’s message that we can manage the security crisis between Turkey and Syria.” The Turkish side is talking about the possibility of a military operation up to 30 kilometers from the Syrian border, and we tried to resolve this crisis and Turkey’s security concerns from the political path.
The head of the diplomatic service reminded: Of course, in this sensitive situation, one of the issues on the agenda is that instead of resorting to war and further displacement of a new wave of Syrian people, we can help solve this issue through political means.
The foreign minister stated: The return of Syrian refugees to their homes and cities, helping peace, stability and security in Syria are among the issues that are on the agenda of this tripartite meeting.
According to Fars report, the seventh meeting of the leaders of the Astana process is scheduled to be held in Tehran tomorrow (Tuesday) with the presence of the leaders of the three countries of Iran, Russia and Turkey. In this regard, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is coming to Tehran this evening to participate in this meeting and make a bilateral trip, and Vladimir Putin is going to visit Tehran tomorrow. On the other hand, Russia’s Sputnik news agency announced the visit of Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Maqdad to Tehran tomorrow (Tuesday).
