Amirbanu Karimi passed away
Amirbanu Karimi, a professor of Persian language and literature and the wife of Mazahir Mosfa, passed away at the age of 92.
Charso Press: Golzar Mosfa, the daughter of this pioneer of Persian language and literature, confirmed this news and said: He passed away this afternoon (Sunday, December 10) in Sari at the home of one of his friends. My mother had heart and lung disease for a long time and in the last month she went to her friend’s house in Sari because of the air pollution in Tehran.
He also said that they are planning for the funeral of Amirbanu Karimi and the time of the ceremony is not yet known.
Amirbanu Karimi, the first child of Karim Amiri Firouzkohi, a poet, was born on January 9, 1310 in Tehran. After completing his secondary education, he started teaching and continued his studies until the Ph.D. in Persian language and literature at the University of Tehran. Later, he started teaching literature at the same university. He was well versed in the field of Indian style and saibology.
Karimi was chosen as the lasting face of Persian language and literature in the fourth conference of lasting faces in 2003.
His wife was Mazaher Mosfa, a poet and professor at Tehran University, who died on November 8, 2018. His son Ali Mosfa is also an actor and filmmaker.
“Critical correction of the second and third parts of the societies of anecdotes and the collections of narratives” (4 volumes), collection and annotation and suspension of Amiri Firouzkohi’s Diwan in 2 editions, “The sketch of two verses and two hundred and one sonnets from Diwan Saeb Tabrizi”, “Correction of Diwan Hakim Fayaz” Lahiji” and “Selected Hadiqa Al-Haqiqa Hakim Sanai” are among the remaining works of Amirbanu Karimi.
