According to reports, an 8-year-old Indian girl named Adithyashree died after her smartphone exploded in her hand. Apparently, this device was a Redmi Note 5 Pro and was not connected to charging at the time of the incident.

Usually, reports of exploding phones refer to them being placed in the charger, but this time it appears to be different and the phone heated up and then exploded without being connected to the charger.

According to the police report and based on the materials obtained from the explosion site, Adithyashree’s face was severely damaged in this accident and her fingers and palm were broken.

Death due to exploding phone

According to the girl’s father, Adithyashree and her grandmother were present in the house at the time of the incident. Adithyashree’s grandmother told the police that the 8-year-old girl was playing with her phone at the time of the explosion. According to him, he had gone to the kitchen to prepare food, but after returning he found Adithyashree covered in blood. According to some reports, this 8-year-old girl was watching a video and not playing.
