One of the country’s infrastructure areas, which has a major share of half-finished projects in the country due to the performance of past governments, is the country’s water and sewage sector.
In this regard, the former deputy director of the Water and Wastewater Engineering Company of the 12th government, while explaining the status of half-finished projects of the Abfa industry, said: “Out of the 119 water supply projects in the country that were included in the budget of 1400, 28 projects have progressed above 80%. and 23% have progressed less than 20%. The rest of these plans have progress between 20 and 80 percent.”
Expressing the fact that 14,500 billion Tomans of office credit has been allocated to complete these 119 projects, this former official said: “In order to finish these 119 projects, we need 67,000 billion Tomans of money at today’s prices.”
Considering the number of half-finished projects in the past governments, the 13th government took over the executive activities with the attitude of completing the half-finished projects. In his speeches, the president repeatedly referred to the issue of completing half-finished projects and emphasized in some cases, as long as the unfinished projects are not put into operation, the new project will not be activated.

This official emphasized: “The prolongation of the implementation time of this project had caused problems, which with the measures taken in the 13th government, this project came out of a complete stop and entered progress in the implementation of the work.”
