* Spokesperson of the Competition Council: What has been decided for now about the price of assembly must be implemented definitively

Following the publication of the price list of assembled cars by the Competition Council, Abdullah Tawakli Lahijani, the general director of automobiles of the Ministry of Security, in a letter requested a review of the price of assembled cars by the Competition Council.

However, the reaction of the competition council, according to Ismail Shujaei, the spokesman of this council, was that “what has been decided for now should be definitely implemented”.

Ismail Shojaei, the spokesperson of the Competition Council, regarding the request of the Ministry of Safety to review the approved prices of assembled vehicles, said: In the framework of the Automotive Guidelines of the Competition Council, the necessary information and statistics have been received from the Ministry of Safety and the support organization to determine the price of assembled vehicles. On Saturday of this week, the issue of the price of assembled cars has been finalized and announced.

He stated: Therefore, taking into account that the Ministry of Safety has announced that it wants to reconsider or that the assembly car manufacturers are protesting, the issue should be re-examined, so this issue was raised in the specialized automotive working group and the competition council, and the opinion of the council was that What has been decided for now should definitely be implemented And if there is a need to revise according to the prices, expenses, financial statements and changes in the exchange rate, it should be reviewed in the working group, and finally, this revision may be done in a two to three month interval.

Emphasizing that the goal of the competition council is not to stop or disrupt the sale or supply, he said: But the basic point is that the price of domestically assembled cars should not be such that the price of these cars is higher than the import price. And The price of domestically produced assembled cars should be lower than the price of the same cars in case of import.

* Assemblers should not seek unconventional profits/ the competition council’s pricing is reasonable

Ali Suri, an expert on the car market, told Fars: The pricing of assembled cars is done for the first time after the exclusive recognition of the market for these cars in the country. It is noteworthy that the automobile manufacturers have not been allowed to increase prices since February 11, 1401 according to the 543 directive of the Competition Council, and therefore, if the automobile industry has increased the price since this date, it is a high price sale.

Emphasizing that the assemblers should not look for unconventional profits, he added: the huge gap between the approved prices of assembled cars and the prices offered by the companies showed that the assemblers are looking to abuse the volatile car market, the Competition Council considering all cases as well as the exchange rate and Conventional profit dictates these prices for assembly cars, and when the market is monopolistic, the Competition Council’s pricing makes sense.

This automotive expert said: According to the Ministry of Security, the approval of the Competition Council regarding the price of assembled cars is mandatory.

Also, Ismail Shujaei, the spokesman of the Competition Council, had previously said: The Competition Council sent a letter to the support organization on April 30 of this year, stating that any procedure that is contrary to the Council’s instruction No. Determining or increasing the price of car manufacturers by them is not allowed and the mentioned procedures should be stopped.

According to Fars report, since January 1401, with the insistence of the inspection organization, the Competition Council opened its doors again to car pricing, which led to the approval of new prices for Iran Khodro and Saipa products at the beginning of 1402.

Until January 1401, according to the decision of the Economic Coordination Council of the Heads of Powers, the regulation of the car market was entrusted to the Organization of Consumers and Producers in the Ministry of Silence for one year, but it was from January 1401 that the General Inspection Organization of the country held meetings with car manufacturers and other The relevant agencies announced that the deadline for approval by the authorities has expired and the competition council should take responsibility for car pricing again.
