Announcement of accepted works in the second theater festival “Shaherzad”
Fifteen accepted works in the second “Shaherzad” theater festival were announced by the selection board of this festival.
Charso Press: According to the public relations of the festival, Masoud Arsif, the designer and secretary of the “Shaherzad” theater festival, announced the latest information about the festival and the list of selected works to participate in the festival.
Following the call for the second “Shaherzad” theater festival, a total of 420 performance films were sent to the secretariat, which explained in the same context: the greater than expected reception of theater groups from Tehran and other cities to participate in the festival (420 works) is a source of happiness. But on the other hand, it made the task and work of the selection committee more difficult and delayed the announcement of the names of the selected candidates for about a month.
Pointing out that in this period, 244 works from Tehran (58%) and 176 works (42%) from the city were applicants, he said: The selection committee of the second “Shaherzad” theater festival consists of Farhad Mohandespour, Nader Burhani Marand, Mohsen Hosseini. , Sima Tirandaz, Ali Shams and Ashkan Khelnejad in 2 teams of three, after reviewing 420 works from different provinces of the country, according to the limitations and capacities of the festival, they finally selected 15 works. Among these 15 selected works, 7 are from Tehran and 8 are from other cities.
The secretary of the second “Shaherzad” theater festival stated that the number of applicant groups in the performance section is far less than stage works and said: due to the general weakness of form and content in most of the performances and their small number, with the opinion and suggestion of the selection board And with the approval of the secretary and the agreement of Shahrazad Jafari, the head of the festival, the performance section will not be separate and all the selected works will be judged in the main section of the festival. The videos of all 15 selected shows have been sent to the General Directorate of Performing Arts for review, and as soon as the supervisory council responds, the secretariat will make the necessary arrangements with the selected groups to participate in the festival.
The secretariat of the second “Shaherzad” theater festival, while congratulating all the selected groups, accepts the accommodation costs of city groups. Also, due to the delay in announcing the names of the selected works, it is natural that the time of the festival will be delayed as well, the exact date of the festival will be announced soon.
During the festival, roundtables and workshops in various branches of theater will be held by professors and professional theater artists, and more information about them will be announced later.
