According to Mehr News Agency, the Saudi embassy in Tehran and the consulate of this country in Mashhad will start their work after Eid al-Adha.
This news was announced based on local sources in Saudi Arabia and as reported by Al-Ikhbariya news channel of Saudi Arabia, this news was announced at the same time as “Faisal bin Farhan”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, was in Tehran.
Al-Akhbariya news channel also added: Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister met Iran’s president Ibrahim Raisi during his official visit to Tehran.
Bahjat al-Islam Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, during the meeting of the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening, welcomed the establishment of relations between the two important and influential countries of the Islamic world, pointed to the Hajj season and the presence of Muslims from all over the world in the land of revelation, and added: “Good neighborliness is a requirement of Islamic beliefs.” And the interests of the two nations are in the dialogue and interaction between Tehran and Riyadh.
Emphasizing the government’s neighborhood policy and that the Islamic Republic of Iran has no obstacles to developing relations with Islamic countries, the president pointed out the welcome and satisfaction of Islamic governments and nations to establish Tehran-Riyadh relations and stated: only the enemies of Muslims and at their head The Zionist regime is unhappy with the development of bilateral and regional cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Stating that there are various issues and problems in our region that have become the source of suffering for the Islamic Ummah, Raisi emphasized: With cooperation and dialogue between the countries of the region, these problems and problems can be overcome and there is no need for outsiders to interfere in this direction.
The president pointed to the successful experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fight against terrorism and the destruction of takfiri groups and added: the results and experiences of this successful fight are among the issues that can be the focus of cooperation between the two countries.
Raisi stated: The Zionist regime is not only an enemy of the Palestinians, it is a threat to all Muslims, and the normalization of the relations of some countries with this regime is not only not conducive to security, but also against the opinion of the Islamic Ummah.
“Faisal bin Farhan”, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia, expressing his great satisfaction with the establishment of relations between the two Islamic countries and his trip to Tehran, said: “We are in a golden stage, which we should appreciate, and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran is a source of benefit.” It provides these conditions for the parties and the region.
Referring to the order of the King of Saudi Arabia to form various working groups to develop relations with Iran, the Saudi Foreign Minister pointed to his country’s efforts to upgrade relations to a strategic level and added: Economic, developmental and cultural cooperation is on the agenda of Tehran and Riyadh.
Faisal bin Farhan stated that some countries of the world do not want our region to achieve peace and progress, and stated: With the expansion of the current interaction between Iran and Saudi Arabia at the level of all Islamic countries, endless achievements will emerge and it is a guarantee that no country Foreigners should not interfere in our region.
