Announcing new beneficiaries of free housing

According to Tejarat News, Seyed Mostafa Seyed Hashemi, Deputy Coordinator of Imam Khomeini Executive Headquarters, said at the handover ceremony of 1400 housing units to families with two disabilities, which was held yesterday in the presence of the Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare and the CEO of Barakat Foundation: Construction of housing for families with two disabilities was concluded between the executive headquarters of Farman Imam, the Welfare Organization and the Housing Foundation, and the headquarters’ share in this contract was set at 50 billion tomans.
He added: “After a year, 140 units of these houses have been built and prepared in all 31 provinces of the country, and now they are being handed over to their owners in order to remove part of the heavy burden that is on the shoulders of these people.”
Seyed Hashemi said: the minimum area built for each unit is 2 square meters and the maximum is 2 square meters, which varies according to the location. Also, these units are designed in such a way that the transportation of the disabled does not face any problems and the necessary conditions are considered in their design.
According to the announcement of the executive staff of Imam Khomeini’s decree, he pointed out: Also, 3,000 community-based economic projects for the disabled have been implemented by the Barakat Foundation.
Abdul Maleki added: “Housing and shelter are important for the Islamic society, and if the people themselves cannot provide it, the government is obliged to pay for them.” In this prioritization, people such as the deprived and the disabled are at the top of the priorities.
Following this ceremony, the keys to two residential units in Tehran province were symbolically awarded to two families with two disabilities. Also, in connection with video conferencing with the three provinces of Kerman, Kurdistan and Gilan, a number of other units were handed over to their owners.
