Announcing the details of the “Comprehensive Photography Course” of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association
The details of the “Comprehensive Photography Course”, which is the newest training course of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, were explained.
Charso Press: According to the public relations of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, the “Comprehensive Photography Course” of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association, which is the most recent comprehensive educational course of the Association, is planned for a period of 6 months and in three educational steps, in line with the strategic plans of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association.
This course has been designed and compiled for talent identification, professional training and recruitment of photography experts to the labor market; “Comprehensive photography course” is one of the most important basic needs in understanding photography as an important and contemporary discipline in our country, Iran.
Esmail Abbasi, Farhad Soleimani, Majid Naghi, Mehdi Vathouqnia and Saeed Pourasmaili are also members of the photography department of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association and policy makers of this “comprehensive educational course”.
The “Comprehensive Photography Course” of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association is designed with a focus on the workshop system, and its goal is the professional employment of young people in the field of photography. The difference between this course and the photography lessons is that it is a set of courses needed by the student to become a professional and be attracted to the job market.
In this sense, the “Comprehensive Photography Course” is like the “Seven-month Filmmaking Course” and is interactively planned by a principal instructor, at least two specialized instructors, and three guest professors.
This is 240 hours of theoretical, practical and specialized workshop training, which is offered in 6 months in three steps (each step is 2 months), three face-to-face and virtual sessions per week, and at the end of the course, students choose their favorite branch from among the branches. Photographers will have one month to present their final project for 9 hours under the supervision of the main professor of the course to receive a certificate.
The specialized training of this course will include the following:
Basic to advanced photography technical and theoretical training
Visual elements of the image and visual meanings
Light and its specialized functions in photography
Photography branches and trends
Understanding the concept of creativity in photography and using creativity in ideation
Photo editing methods in Photoshop software
Photo criticism and analysis methods
Photography movements
Photo presentation and display methods
Photo collection production
Specialized workshops in photography branches
Doing a final project in one of the branches of photography
Timing of the start and end of the comprehensive photography course
A virtual photo exhibition will be held for all the students’ final projects, and the offices that are applying for an in-person exhibition in the photo gallery of the Iranian Youth Cinema Association at the headquarters can send their request to the vice president of education. Also, the best photographed projects of the students will be introduced to the Iran Photo Agency. .
In the first step, the “Basic Photography” course is held twice a week, and the “Fundamentals of visual arts and creativity” course is held once a week, two of which are completed in the second step.
The second step is the courses of “Photography Branches”, “Light Workshop” and “Digital Laboratory” each in one session, as well as “Photography Branches Workshop 1, 2 and 3” outside the office, with the presence of the main instructor but by the master of the photography branch workshop. is held
In the third step, the courses “photo presentation and display” and “photographic movements” will be held once a week due to practical assignments, and the courses “photo analysis, analysis and criticism” and “photography workshop” will be held once a week.
