Announcing the films of “Ken Directors for Two Weeks”
Projects by Michel Gondry, Hong Sang-soo and Cedric Kahn are among the 19 films that will be screened in the 55th Directors’ Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival.
Charso Press: According to Screen, the independent section of the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, which is organized by the French Cinema Directors Union, will start this year with the screening of a French film called “The Goldman Case” by Cedric Kahn, which is based on the true story of Pierre Goldman. “, is a French left-wing intellectual who was convicted of several robberies and mysteriously assassinated.
This section ends with the screening of the film “In Our Time” by Hong Sang-soo, a prolific director from South Korea. This filmmaker was present in Cannes Premiere in 2021 with the movie “In front of your face”.
French auteur filmmaker Michel Gondry has returned to the Directors’ Fortnight section of the Cannes Film Festival after almost a decade of hiatus with the film “The Book of Solutions”. French actor Pierre Nini plays a role in this movie alongside Blanche Garden, Camille Rutherford and Vincent Albaz. No plot details have been released, but it is said to be about a filmmaker battling creative demons.
