Apple introduced new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M3 series chips

At its Scary Fast event, alongside the updated iMac and the new entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M3 chip, Apple unveiled the upgraded models. 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips Introduced. The MacBook Pro with the M3 Max chip can be ordered with up to 128GB of RAM, a new bonus for Apple laptops. Pre-orders begin today, and M3 Pro models will be available on November 7. The delivery of the M3 Max units will take a little longer and these devices are expected to be launched in late November.

The 3nm M3 chips are capable of hardware-accelerated ray tracing and offer a new generation of GPUs with faster speeds and higher productivity. Improved GPU performance is provided thanks to a feature that Apple calls Dynamic Caching. In other words, the GPU allocates the amount of memory usage in the hardware on the fly and makes sure that exactly the amount of RAM that is needed is used for each task.

Apple claims that the battery life of the new MacBook Pro laptop reaches 22 hours; At least on the 16-inch model with the M3 Pro chip. The endurance of the M3 Max chip is usually slightly lower, as all its GPU cores consume some power. For the most part, the new MacBook Pros are identical to the M2 Pro/Max chip-equipped laptops that were released earlier this year. They still feature a Mini LED display, a great speaker system, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SD card reader, and a MagSafe connector for charging.
