Ghasemi stated that directing students’ researches, theses and research towards the practical topics and needs of the operational field of the country’s tourism industry is one of the main approaches of the Office of Studies, Tourism and Planning, and added: providing the possibility of presenting students’ practical plans in the field of tourism to Special topics of the day, including artificial intelligence that can be implemented, and supporting their research and related professors are also on the agenda.

The Head of Tourism Studies, Education and Planning Office also emphasized that in the design of tourism apps as well as the approach of projects proposed by the country’s scientific community in the field of tourism, it is necessary to consider the approach of solving challenges, and reminded: for example, managing mass tourism and guiding travel to Provinces and cities with low traffic, in other words, time and place distribution of travel can be implemented through artificial intelligence, and this challenge can be managed to a large extent.

Cooperation between science and practice in the field of tourism

In this meeting, Latifah Pourmohammed Baqer, a member of the faculty of the computer department and the director of the Electronic Learning Center of Allameh Tabatabai University, with a specialization in artificial intelligence, while attending a specialized workshop on the applications of artificial intelligence in the tourism industry, while presenting the latest research in this field to the tourism students of Allameh Tabatabai University, said : While thanking for holding a joint training workshop, holding such events can create synergy and create a common language between the scientific community and operational departments.

He further explained the points extracted from holding a specialized workshop on artificial intelligence applications in the tourism industry and added: This event has resulted in multiple points. One of them is that our need for a comprehensive road map is more apparent than ever, to pave the way for managers and middle professionals.

Pour Mohammad Baqer continued: The need for inter-departmental cooperation in the university as well as extra-university cooperation was another point extracted from this event, which is considered to be the beginning of two-way cooperation between science and practice.

Because we do not have expertise in these subjects, nor are they included in the educational topics. Therefore, these types of meetings and workshops are actually the laboratory of our classes.

He added: For example, we have explained the topic of content writing, but the way to use it is artificial intelligence, which was explained and discussed by the relevant students and professors in this event.

Porfaraj reminded: If the event similar to the specialized workshop on the applications of artificial intelligence in the tourism industry, which was formed in cooperation with the Vice-Chancellor of Tourism and Allameh Tabatabai University, is added, we can hope that the stereotyped topic of theory and practice in the field of tourism, which is always separated and has The challenge is to overcome it and enter the operational field.
