Arabic became one of FIFA’s official languages

According to IRNA, at the end of the Arab Cup, FIFA announced Arabic as the fifth official language of the federation.
Coinciding with World Arabic Language Day (December 18), FIFA announced the language as its fifth official language, and today the decision was finalized.
Previously, English, Spanish, French and German were the official languages of FIFA, and now Arabic is the fifth language among the official languages of FIFA.
FIFA says the move is not limited to the presence of 450 million Arabic-speaking people living in more than 20 countries, and that millions of people around the world speak Arabic.
The proposal was made by FIFA President Johnny Infantino after lengthy talks with stakeholders in Qatar and other Middle Eastern and North African countries.
