Mahmoudian reminded: The presence of Ardakan artists in national and international exhibitions and markets should be achieved with the efforts and support of the governor of Yazd province.

The Director General of Education and Extension of Handicrafts of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts also emphasized that one of the issues that has been considered today more than ever is the discussion of support provided by the public sector to empower the livelihood of people who make a living through handicrafts. He continued: “We believe that in this field, a special look should be given to handicraft artists, and in order to help handicrafts, it should be combined with tourism.”

Referring to the existence of various handicrafts in Ardakan city, Kamal Halvaei added: “Branding has an important role in identifying Ardakan handicrafts and developing the business culture and economic prosperity of the region, and Ardakan handicrafts have been far from the eyes of many people due to lack of proper marketing.” .
He added: “Investors in the handicrafts sector should provide the grounds for a greater presence of its products in domestic and foreign markets, considering the new marketing methods, and the creation of a permanent handicrafts market can be a positive step towards this realization.”
Halvaei continued: “The art of weaving has been given special attention by the people of Ardakan today, and the activity and familiarity of more than 3,000 people in this field shows the importance and attention of people to art, especially the art of weaving, and officials and artists in this field expect Handicrafts and tourism of the country, branding and global registration of this art and providing a familiar ground for investors and professionals to enter the market and achieve the identity of handicrafts in the region.
The representative of the people of Ardakan and the head of the Tourism and Cultural Heritage Faction of the Islamic Consultative Assembly also said: “There are many capacities in this country and any city or village in Iran can be a global city or village.”

The head of Ardakan Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department also said: this city has more than 20 active weaving workshops and one thousand people have turned to this artistic activity.
Ali Reza Ghafouz Radeh added: the people of the villages are also being trained so that this job can flourish better.
According to him, so far, weaving artists have been able to obtain the national mark of authenticity, and its sale will be sent throughout the country to Oman and Turkey with a variety of uses.
Ardakan is the largest city in Yazd province, where traditional fabrics and handmade carpets are among the brand’s handicrafts and have a significant economic impact.
So far, one thousand historical and cultural monuments of Ardakan city have been identified, 240 of which have been registered in the list of national monuments of Iran.
Ardakan city with a population of 105,000, whose center is located 60 km northwest of Yazd, consists of the cities of Aqda, Khoranagh, Ahmadabad and Ardakan.
