When is the equity dividend paid?

A few days ago, Mehdi Hajivand, the adviser to the head of the stock exchange organization in the affairs of equity shares, has also provided explanations about the time of depositing the dividend of equity shares, emphasizing the reference of official media news.

In response to the question of when the equity dividends will be paid, he told the Young Journalists Club: The annual procedure for paying the equity dividends is such that you have to wait until the annual meetings of the equity companies are held in full and all amounts are received. Then the profit is divided among them in proportion to the shares that the owners of equity shares have.

Hajivand further stated: Previously, companies had a deadline of 8 months after holding the assembly to deposit this profit to the shareholders’ account, but this year, according to the decision of the Stock Exchange and Securities Organization, instead of 8 months, the companies have 4 months. They have the opportunity to share this profit.

Hajivand also stated regarding the time of depositing interest: the assembly season is usually June and July and we should allow the assemblies to be held in full and this period of 4 months will end.
