Arrest of 3 illegal diggers and seizure of a metal detector in Behshahr

According to Aria Heritage, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Mazandaran Province, Col. Mohammad Reza Kordan announced this news today, July 30, 1401: “Officers from the city protection unit were dispatched to the scene and, after coordination with the city police force and by order of a judicial official, arrested three illegal diggers in a joint stop and search operation.”
The commander of the Mazandaran Cultural Heritage Preservation Unit said: “In a similar operation, a metal detector with accessories was seized during a search of the vehicle.”
Colonel Kordan thanked the informants of the provinces and stressed the need to prevent the occurrence of crimes and stressed: “Protection of cultural heritage in Mazandaran province due to the extent and dispersion of the works requires the full participation of compatriots.”
