According to the sports reporter of Fars News Agency, the fifth and last day of the group stage of the 21st Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship will be followed today (Tuesday) with four matches in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. Sirjan Steel team in its fourth match in this competition and the third match today went against Diamond Food Thailand and defeated this team three to one.

In the third set of this match, Sirjan team lost 25 to 23 to the host, but in the first, second and fourth sets, they defeated their opponents with scores of 25 to 19, 25 to 23 and 25 to 23, respectively, and won for the fourth time in a row. Managed to stay at the top of Group B with 12 points.

Sahand Alhordian, Mehdi Jelveh, Alexander Blakovic, Mohammad Sadeghi, Shahrooz Homayoun Farmanesh, Alireza Behboodi (captain) and Mostafa Heidari (libero) were the starting lineups for the Sirjan Steel team in this match.

In their first to third matches in the group stage of the competition, Sirjan Steel defeated Ribisco, the Philippines 3-0, and Uzbekistan and Qatar, 3-0, to be the only team without a defeat in the group stage.

At the end of the group stage of the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship, the first and second teams of the two groups (four teams) advance to the semi-finals to compete for the first to fourth places.

Also, the third and fourth teams of the two preliminary groups will compete for the fifth to eighth places after the end of this stage. The fifth teams of the two groups will play tomorrow (Wednesday) in the only match of this competition to win the ninth place.

Thus, the Sirjan Steel team, which is resting tomorrow (Wednesday), will face Nachon Ratchasima, another representative of Thailand (host) of this competition, in the semi-finals on Thursday.
