Asus Zenbook 14X – Slim and light with OLED display

Asus Zenbook series laptops are known for their light weight and affordability. But now Asus has added another new feature; OLED display technology. The Asus Zenbook 14X laptop is the newest member of this family, which has been unveiled in two versions with a 14-inch OLED display.
This laptop will be available in two versions, one with 4K OLED HDR display and the other 2.8K OLED 90Hz. Considering these resolutions, the display quality should be a good improvement over the Zenbook 13 OLED display. The ultrabook was unveiled by Asus earlier this year and features an FHD OLED display that still performs well in terms of performance quality.
The ZenBook 14X covers the DCI-P3 color space 100% and has a response speed of 0.2 milliseconds. Asus claims that the amount of harmful blue light from this display has been reduced by up to 70% compared to normal LCDs.
Apart from the display, this laptop weighs 1.4 kg and is 1.7 cm thick. This makes the 14X a great option for carrying. However, it should be noted that there are other lighter and slimmer 14-inch laptops on the market. The top 14X version will be equipped with an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor with 16 GB of RAM and 1 terabyte of memory. The notebook’s ports include a Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and a microSD reader.
All of these specs look good on paper, but the big question is the battery life of the device. High-resolution screens on a slim and light laptop can sometimes lead to catastrophic battery performance, and this is not so strange. However, the Asus Zenbook 13 OLED notebook performed very well in terms of battery life in tests, and this can give us hope for the result for the Zenbook 14X.
Price of Asus Zenbook 14X laptop
Zenbook 14X OLED With a base price of $ 1399.99, it will hit the market, which is a much higher figure compared to the ZenBook 13, which was priced at $ 799. The reason for this can be attributed to the existence of a larger 14-inch screen with higher image resolution.
A convertible version of the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED laptop will also hit the market, which Asus has named the Zenbook 14 Flip OLED. This version also has the same display and image resolution, except that it is touch and supports the pen sensitive to 4096 pressure levels.
The unveiling came months after Samsung announced in January that it had begun mass production of 14-inch 90Hz OLED panels. Of course, Samsung has not announced the list of its partners and customers of these OLED displays. But the new Asus ZenBook is likely to be the first notebook with a 14-inch OLED display to make its way to the shelves in the coming months.
