Asus also announced in an internal letter plans to transfer many of its employees to the company’s mobile division (Zenfone and ROG Phone devices), which it apparently abandoned and these employees have now been fired!

The reason for this is that Asus has apparently shut down its Zenphone division and plans to employ its employees in other divisions or the ROG Phone team. According to a report from Taiwanese sources:

“Asus mobile phones are divided into ROG and Zenfone, and a source familiar with the matter has claimed that the new Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of the series, and that the Zenfone team will be moved to other divisions in the future, or will go directly into the ROG team. »

So if this report is correct, the Zenfone 10 will be the last device in the Zenfone series (which started in 2014). Of course, the phones of this series have never been able to become big devices in the Android market. However, recent versions have been praised, and features from the Zenfone 10 and 9 have been welcomed, such as excellent battery life, a decent software experience, and the use of a compact display.

Although Asus has not yet spoken publicly about this report and its mentioned changes, reports were also published in July about the company’s attempt at organizational restructuring.
