At least 100 people have been killed in clashes between gold miners in Chad

According to IRNA, about 100 people were killed in clashes between gold miners in Chad in clashes in which the media did not provide further details.

Massive gold mines in Chad have attracted thousands of foreigners, including international profiteers, whose presence in the country has now become a security threat.

The country has been embroiled in a smuggling mafia and security challenge since the fall of oil revenues in the government of the late Chad’s former president, Idris Dubai, who sought to replenish his treasury by controlling gold for a promising future.

A large part of Chad’s gold production was smuggled abroad to be sold, especially in the Middle East.

Details of the incident have not yet been released.
