Attack on 2 Mossad centers in Erbil with dozens of missiles + videos


According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, some Iraqi sources reported on Sunday morning that horrific explosions were heard in the city of Erbil in the Iraqi Kurdistan region.

SaberinNews reported that dozens of explosions shook the city of Erbil.

“Danger sirens sounded near Al-Harir base, Erbil airport and Salah al-Din complex,” Sabrinews wrote.

“Dozens of rockets hit the lower complex in Erbil province,” the Iraqi media initially wrote.

“Twelve missiles hit a military base in Erbil,” Saberin News reported, according to initial reports.

“Local witnesses say at least six rockets hit the Zarrin complex,” the source reported minutes later, according to preliminary information.

Saberin News also reported that a large number of US military aircraft were flying over Erbil and that civilian air traffic in the area had been suspended.

“The adsb receivers have been stopped in the airspace of Erbil, which specializes in air traffic,” the media wrote in an exclusive article.

Informed sources told Saberin News: “A fire broke out at a military base near Erbil Airport. “Alarm bells also sounded at the US consulate in Erbil.”

Iraqi media also reported that the gates of the US embassy in Baghdad were closed and full readiness was declared at military bases in Iraq.

Al-Jazeera also reported that alarms had been activated in the Green Zone in Baghdad and inside the US Embassy.

Iraqi Kurdistan security forces reportedly closed all roads leading to Erbil airport, al-Harir base and the Salah al-Din complex on full alert.

“The US embassy in Baghdad is in a state of panic with the sound of the alarm,” Al Jazeera wrote.

“The base in Erbil was attacked with ballistic missiles,” Saber News reported minutes later, stating that among the rockets fired were ballistic missiles. “At least four ballistic missiles hit a military target in Erbil.”

Al Jazeera’s correspondent says the “new building under construction at the US Consulate in Erbil” was the target of tonight’s rocket attacks.

According to Saberin News, six Fateh 110 ballistic missiles hit this building in Erbil.

“Intense shooting in the skies of Erbil is heard after the news of an unidentified UAV flight,” the media outlet wrote in a video clip.

SaberNews also reported that explosions were heard in Sulaimaniyah in northern Iraq.

The Kurdish network Rudaw reported, quoting Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnav, that no one was injured in tonight’s rocket attack on targets in Erbil.

“Several explosions took place near the US consulate, security forces have been deployed in different parts of Erbil,” Rudav wrote.

“Two advanced Israeli Mossad training centers in Erbil, northern Iraq, were attacked by ballistic missiles,” Sabrinews quoted a security source as saying.

The director general of Erbil International Airport told Rudaw that tonight’s missile attack did not affect any flights and that all flights were scheduled.

Al-Arabiya also quoted a US official as saying that no US troops had been killed in tonight’s rocket attacks on Erbil.

Another video of the missiles hitting the Israeli military base in Erbil has been released, which shows the time of the collision is 1:20 in the morning.

“It is by no means accidental,” Saber News wrote about the time.

“At the time of the attack, the American Patriot 2 and 3 missile defense systems based in Erbil in northern Iraq were not working,” the Iraqi media added.

“The attack that targeted the beloved city of Erbil and terrified its inhabitants is an attack on the security of our people,” Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi tweeted in response to the attack. “We have been following the developments with the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and our security forces will investigate this attack and eliminate any damage to the security of our cities and the security of our citizens.”
