Autopsy of iPhone 15 Pro Max; What is going on inside the Apple phone? + Video

The website iFixit, which works in the field of repairing various gadgets, including smartphones, has published a video of the autopsy of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which shows the internal components of this new and expensive phone.
While the internal design of the iPhone 15 Pro Max is similar to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the frame design has changed. This change makes it easier to remove the back glass panel, which will reduce repair costs.

In this dissection, we can have a brief look at the improved telephoto camera of the iPhone 15 Pro Max with the Tetraprism system. This camera provides users with 5x optical zoom.
According to iFixit, the main and ultra-wide cameras used in the iPhone 15 Pro Max are apparently no different from the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Of course, some sources have already mentioned this issue. Therefore, only the telephoto camera of the iPhone 15 Pro Max has been upgraded in terms of hardware, and the performance improvement of the other two cameras is due to software optimizations and the A17 Pro chip.
iFixit says the iPhone 15 Pro Max uses the same logic board as the iPhone 15 Pro. In this video, we can also see Apple’s A17 Pro chip. Also, the autopsy of the iPhone 15 Pro Max confirms the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X70 5G modem, which was predictable due to the increased speed of 5G in the reviews. The autopsy also confirms the use of a larger 4422 mAh battery.
Overall, iFixit gave the iPhone 15 Pro Max a repairability score of 4 out of 10, one of the reasons for this low score being Apple’s requirement to pair parts using a serial number or IMEI. It should be noted that this approach hurts independent repairers. It is expected that other models of the iPhone 15 series will get the same repairability score as the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
