Axios’ account of the fear of the Zionist regime to act against Hezbollah

According to the report of the Fars International News Agency, the “Axios” news site has addressed the Zionist regime’s fear of responding to Lebanon’s Hezbollah and has published a report on how the regime decided not to take action against this group.

Two Zionist officials have told this news site that Israel limited its midnight attacks in Gaza and Lebanon to Hamas positions in order to prevent wider conflicts with Hezbollah.

Zionist officials have said that in the security cabinet meeting that was held yesterday, Israeli ministers came to the conclusion that being drawn into a war in Lebanon, which risks turning into a regional conflict, is not in Tel Aviv’s interest.

According to this report, the internal unrest in Occupied Palestine over the judicial reform plan caused instability in the economy, the army and the international position of Israel.

On Thursday evening, the Zionist regime was attacked with dozens of rockets fired from southern Lebanon. According to Axios, this is the most serious tension between Israel and Lebanon since the 2006 war.

This rocket attack took place after the brutal attack of the Zionist regime on Muslim worshipers in Haram al-Sharif.

In response to these rocket attacks, the Zionist regime attacked Hamas positions in Gaza. In response, Hamas fired dozens of rockets towards occupied Palestine.

The Zionist regime also carried out rare attacks against Hamas positions in southern Lebanon.

In the consultations held by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli War Minister Yoav Galant before the security cabinet meeting on Thursday, the Israeli army and Mossad presented different assessments of Hezbollah’s possible response to Israel’s airstrikes in Lebanon.

According to Axios, CIA Director David Barnea said that Israel would likely respond to any Israeli airstrikes, and therefore it was necessary for Israel to attack the group’s positions in addition to Hamas.

Despite this, Herzi Halevi, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Zionist regime, argued that it is in Israel’s interest to remove Hezbollah from the equation and focus on Hamas.

Sources cited by Axios said that the position of the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Israeli Army was finally accepted as the final recommendation and the meeting of the Security Cabinet was terminated.
