According to statistics provided to ISNA by the Iranian Steel Producers Association, the production of steel ingots (middle steel) in the first half of this year is 14% less than the same period last year.

This is while steel ingots, which in the second quarter of this year compared to the first quarter of this year, has experienced a 40% decrease in production.

The situation is the same in the production of long steel sections, flat steel sections, steel products and sponge iron, and in addition to the fact that in the first 6 months of this year, steel production decreased compared to the same period last year. According to statistics, during the first six months of this year, 12 million and 994 thousand tons of steel ingots (slabs, billets and bloom) were produced, which shows a decrease of 14% compared to 15 million and 27 thousand thousand tons produced in the same period of 1399.
