Bagheri: Iran and Japan are two important pillars of stability in Asia

According to the online economy report, quoted by Tasnim, Bagheri referred to the diverse capacities of Iran and Japan in a media conference on Monday and called the two countries two important pillars of stability in the Asian continent.

While pointing out the importance of joint efforts of the two countries in promoting regional and international peace and stability, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran said: Iran as one of the major sources of global energy and Japan as an industrial power need each other.

He added: In the meetings I will have with Japanese officials in two days, we will try to discuss the areas of development of relations.

In another part of his speech, Ali Bagheri said: The crime against the people of Gaza, as the Secretary General of the United Nations rightly stated, is both a threat to international peace and security and an open genocide.

He added: International actors should use all their capacities to stop the genocide in Gaza so that the crime in Gaza ends; end the cruel siege against the people of Gaza; Aid to the people of Gaza should begin unconditionally; and to deal with the forced displacement of people inside and out of Gaza.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country stated: Only the Palestinian people can and should decide about their own future. The Palestinian people do not need guardians, therefore, if we want to establish peace and stability in the West Asian region, the views, priorities and opinions of the Palestinian people must be the basis, because the missing link in the plans and models for solving the Palestinian problem, which has not been reached in 75 years. The absence of the Palestinian people is to determine their own destiny.

Bagheri said: “For once, the world should pay attention to the opinion of the Palestinian people and let them decide for their own future, and in this framework, the Islamic Republic of Iran supports every effort.”

The deputy foreign minister of our country said in response to the journalists’ question: The government of Yemen has announced that it will try to prevent aid to Israel as long as the Zionists continue to commit crimes against the people of Gaza. They are an independent actor in the international scene who act according to their judgment and therefore it is not right to link their actions to others.

In response to a question about Iran’s expectations from Japan in connection with the Gaza war, while considering Japan’s vote for the General Assembly resolution on stopping the invasion of Gaza as important, he said: “It is natural that the Japanese government, considering its international role and status, wants to stop the war.” in Gaza, so it is expected that as long as the Zionist regime continues to commit crimes against the people of Gaza, other countries will reconsider their relations with Israel.

He added: Just as Japan correctly voted for the UN General Assembly resolution, it can use its other international capacities to stop this genocide in Gaza.

In relation to a question regarding the operations of Hamas and other resistance groups on October 7, Bagheri said: Hamas’s action on October 7 was not an initial action in a vacuum. The action of Hamas happened after 75 years of occupation, aggression, crimes and illegal actions of the Zionists. The action of Hamas came after 16 years of inhumane and cruel Zionist siege against the Gaza Strip. The action of Hamas was carried out after the arrest and imprisonment of about six thousand Palestinians by the Zionists.

He added: “Which nation exists on earth that has to take refuge in a tunnel to live?” Which of the Palestinian women and children who were killed in the last 2 months were fighter pilots or tank drivers?! What we are witnessing in Gaza today is a crime against humanity and a full-scale genocide, and the crime of the people of Gaza is that they want to defend their existence, identity and dignity as a nation.

In response to a question about the degradation of the position of the United States and the new order, the deputy foreign minister said: “Definitely, after the end of the war in Gaza, we will see a new strategic, political and security plan in the region, in which there is a plan of resistance as an undeniable actor. . Resistance is a main and undeniable pillar of the region’s stability and will be present and play a role everywhere in the region.
