Bandar King monuments were nationally registered


The Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Hormozgan said: “Four historical monuments of Bandar Kong, Bandar Lengeh, including the historic houses of Golbat, Rashid, Safety and Karchi mansion located in the historical area of ​​this port were recorded.”

According to the Hormozgan Wave News Agency, Abbas Norouzi, Deputy Director of Cultural Heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Hormozgan, stated: The registration of these historical monuments was discussed at the meeting of the National Council for the Registration of Monuments given.
Nowruzi stated: In recent years, the historic port of Kong has had a good chance to be included in the World Heritage List with good restoration measures and restoration of monuments located within its historical context.
He added: “The continuation of these measures, which are being carried out by the Bandar King Municipality and the cultural heritage base of this historic city, can be promising for the global registration of this work in the not too distant years.”
He added: “Other cities such as Bandar Lengeh, which have historical monuments, can also take a step in this direction by giving more importance to their resources, or by reviving or inspiring traditional architecture in new constructions, or Preserve and preserve the historical identity of their architecture for future generations.
Bandar Kong is one of the functions of Bandar Lengeh, a city of 159,000 people, located 220 km west of Bandar Abbas, the capital of Hormozgan province.
