Bank deposits increased by 43.8%

According to the Central Bank’s report on the total balance of deposits and Rial and foreign currency facilities of banks and credit institutions by province at the end of November this year, the total balance of deposits has reached 4935 thousand and 980 billion tomans, which compared to the same period last year and end Last year, it showed an increase of 43.8 and 27.4 percent, respectively.

Also, the highest amount of deposits is related to Tehran province with a balance of 2633 thousand and 490 billion Tomans and the lowest amount is related to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces equal to 12 thousand and 970 billion Tomans.

In addition, the total balance of facilities at this time is 3616 thousand billion tomans, which compared to the same period last year and the end of last year has increased by 43.8 and 29.5 percent.

According to this report, the highest amount of facilities is related to Tehran province with a balance of 2268 thousand and 750 billion Tomans and the lowest amount is related to Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces (12 thousand and 590 billion Tomans).

The ratio of facilities to deposits after deducting the legal deposit is 81.3%, which is the end of this month compared to the same period last year and shows a 1.1 percentage point increase compared to the end of the previous year, which is 94 percent in Tehran province. 4.% and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Provinces is 109.4%.

In this report, one of the important reasons for the high number of facilities and deposits in Tehran province is the establishment of headquarters of many companies and manufacturing institutions in other provinces in Tehran province and most of their banking activities are carried out through branches of banks and credit institutions in Tehran province.
