Banks should not receive copies

Alireza Qitasi, Secretary of the Coordinating Council of Government and Semi-Government Banks, stated that the instructions of the country’s administrative and employment organization regarding electronic government were communicated to the banking network through the Central Bank in 2018 , said: After the follow-up that was done, at the end of 1400, the central bank again issued a directive that all bank branches do not receive copies of identity documents from applicants in providing banking services.
He stated that banks should not receive copies of documents that are necessary for the authentication of persons, such as copies of national cards and birth certificates, and said: Banks must receive the necessary inquiries through the system created by the civil registry and the tracking code that is in Keep the provided system in the customer’s file and do not request any copies of identity documents.
According to the Secretary of the Coordinating Council of State and Semi-State Banks, copies of residence documents of facility applicants, which include ownership documents or leases, should not be received from applicants.
He added: Banks should obtain confirmation of the postal code through the existing system and keep the corresponding tracking code in the file of the applicants.
Qitasi emphasized: Therefore, the heads of bank branches should make this instruction their goal and carefully review and follow it so that there is no dissatisfaction among the customers of the banking network.
According to him, any banking service that requires the presentation of customer identification documents can be implemented by presenting the original document and without obtaining a copy at the bank branches.
The Secretary of the Coordinating Council of State and Semi-State Banks also said about the follow-up of violations by banks: there is a complaint handling and inspection unit in all banks, and if a violation is observed in a bank branch, customers can refer to the complaint handling unit, which will handle the complaints within 24 hours. and the result is announced.
